  • Thermafleece insulation made from 100% pure British sheep's wool, sourced in the Lake District

  • 12 mm WPB plywood underside forming insulation cavity
Roof construction
  • Formed galvanised corrugated sheet
  • Laminated European Redwood curved ceiling beams
  • 50 mm x 75 mm European Redwood cross members
Windows
  • 14 mm argon filled double glazed units
  • European Redwood casement and glazing bars
  • Rebated frames
  • Sapele hardwood sills

Door(s)
  • Stable door(s) in European Redwood or Oak, single or double, with option of being solid or part glazed
  • Doors may be situated on end or side of hut
  • Doors hand crafted in framed ledged braced and battened construction
Internal Cladding (walls and ceiling)
  • Beaded tongue and groove European Redwood in oil or Farrow & ball painted finish.
Wheels and Chassis
  • Wheels in cast iron to our own patterns
  • Axel in 50 mm x 50 mm square box section steel with turned ends
  • Tow bar wishbone and eye in 60 x 15 mm mild steel
Finishes
  • Windows and doors finished in varnish or paint
  • External cladding in flexible Jonestones Stomsheild paint or stain a high quality product in a wide variety of hues that can be matched to any colour or Farrow & Ball exterior paint
  • Internal woodwork can be sealed using oil for a natural wood treatment or cladding can also be painted to a colour of your choice. We recommend Osmo Hardwax Oil for their natural properties and Farrow & Ball paints as their range of colours compliment the huts very well and have a very low VOC rating
  • External shiplap cladding can be painted in a finish of your choice
